I'm pretty sure you've all played VectorTD, and the music in VectorTD consists of two tracks. One simple beat that's always running, and a second track that starts once a wave is started.
I would love to take that idea a bit further, with a set of 4 or five layers. One simple base-beat and 3 progressively more "intense" layers. The music could start out with the simple beat, and add (or switch to) higher layers of music depending on how far the creeps progress through the map and depending on how many lives you have left. If you have 20 lives left, and there's one boss creep on the map, it would tick to layer one, as that boss would have to travel the map 20 times before you'd die. But if you have 20 lives left, and a swarm of 20 creeps is about to overwhelm your defences... The problem of course is finding someone to make the music...

I already composed some music. Today, I passed my Level 3 Piano exam, and it was very well. Here are my 4 compositions (updates and more songs to come soon) : http://www.free-scores.com/partition...s_fredg999.htm. I hope you will like my songs. As summer approaches, I will have time to compose some music tracks if you desire. I will do my best in the style you will tell me (not only piano, you can tell me to use other instruments, like SMB-style (square sounds, sinusoidal and triangle...) or more orchestral, you choose).

That music looks really nice, but unfortunately, I can't read notes, so to me it doesn't sound like anything
![]() Do you have it as midi or mp3? |

Not the last one, it's coming soon. I just have to write the score again with my new program, so I can export a better MIDI than I could do with my previous scoring program. The others are older, but they have the old MIDI versions too. I will update them to make them sound even better. If you look carefully on the site, you will see a place near the PDF download a place to download the MIDI file. There three first have old MIDIs, the new ones will come soon, especially "The Sad Walker" (you can see the other ones are in French, because I normally speak French, this one's an exception, 'cause it sounded better in English...).
As I said, I may try new instruments, but drums will perhaps be hard, as my new program needs separate staves for most sounds... |
