The level was designed to be very hard, and it looks like no-one has managed to get past 75 yet, so I guess Fireblade succeeded in that respect
You might notice that the creeps have a damage reduction of 684M, That's more then a Red3 does, even with two Damage towers, so a Red 3 will only do 1 damage per strike (every 2.5s), per target in blast range. Green3's will do 3 damage per strike, 20 per second, thus 60 damage/second. Not sure if a Yellow3 can overcome the damage reduction. Last edited by The Noid; October 15th, 2008 at 05:53 PM. |

Well, it´s possible to boost the red ones so much, that they do damage of 1.200M but that isn`t enough to handle the bunch of creeps... there are not enough fields to place as many blue towers which might be needed to survive this level... and the creeps are immune to the blue3 after they have been hit once... I have no idea what else I may try...

To do any damage to these creeps you need yellow3's. It's all about getting the damage of a single shot higher then the damage reduction of the tower. Y3's do more damage per shot, and are thus more effective in this case.
It's better to have less Y3's that do more damage individually, then more Y3's that do less damage individually. For instance, you're better off with 2 Y3's and 3 Damage+ then with 3 Y3 and 2 Damage+. You can calculate the damage you do per shot, per tower, try to maximise that. I just tried using your replay, and managed to get some kills. That doesn't say that the wave is possible though...

Yeah, I know, I managed to kill 5 of the creeps but that´s all you can get... it´s impossible to survive that wave... the Y3 are to slow.
It may be possible to survive those kind of creeps on another map, drawline for example, where you have enough space for mor Y3s... :-) |

It is possible to calculate, using the program you used to create HexTD, Java, or any other program, to...automatically calculate, using ALL the combinations possible of towers position, damages ups, etc., in the map Tie-Angle, to actually see if its possible to be beaten?

![]() It's not that hard to do it yourself. The game gives all the numbers. Make a spreadsheet that does towerdamage-damagereduction. The only tower doing any damage is Yellow 3. Find the setup that does the most damage, load your replay to get back to that level and try it out... |

Well, anyway, are we having my last suggestion? Maybe no? Because maybe it will make the game bigger in file size? If we are having....I have one more idea to what you can add to the game

I've been working on adding multiplayer, but it's a good idea. It should not be too difficult to implement. Not sure if it'll make it to the current version though...
What's the second idea?

Well, its based on my last suggestion, if you are not gonna add it to the current version...
And how is this multiplayer idea going? HOW it is going to be? ![]() 2 players can play toguether as a team? Player vs Player?

Right now it's PvP.
Each player has a home-base where he can buy creeps, and select the path the creeps should take. Buying creeps costs money but increases your income. You can also select the amount, type, size and health of creeps. You can build defence towers within 2 hexes from your current towers. If an enemy creep reaches your base you lose a life. If you run out of lives you lose the game. If you want to try out the dev version, see if you can find me online on Irc. (#towerdefence.net on irc.deltaanime.net) I'm always idling there. |
