the rose quartz is way too powerful, the fools gold and hematite will be too hard to code.

See, the designer asked everyone to contribute their ideas on a forum. Hence, the feedback of other users, the analysis of other people's submissions, votes for and against.

That's kind of how these forum things work. If Peter wasn't looking for such analysis and opinion, be cound have just said, "Hi, I'm making updates to the game; please email suggestions to xyz@pdq.net".

Also, Peter openly admitted that he has not beaten Extreme, so I expect that he is looking for community feedback on playability and balance at high levels.


If you suggest a modification to a game that thousands of people play, on an open forum, you have to expect (and be able to take) some feedback.

Yes, but with this specific instance, it's just a matter or whether or not Peter can program them into the game. That's kind of hard for anybody except him to decide--thus I responded with that comment. I appreciate how people are looking to help improve the game, but saying something like that only appears to me as a comment that was made without proper consideration.

I don't know, I think that it wasn't too smart of him to assume to know Peter's limits in terms of Flash-game-making ability so I may have overreacted harshly in defense of my ideas.

5 yellow sapphire
5 great emerald
5 lucky asian jade
stats:
damage 500
range 60
cooldown 10000
info:
has a large splash, causes enemies hit to move backwards for 1 second, and has a 1% chance of generating a bomb causing enemies to move back to the last waypoint they passed, gigantic splash, damage is as low as 30 but then again it is armor penetrating, and also causes them to release 1/2 of the gold you would get for killing them.

too slow for its range

Barrier Jewel
Damage:0
Range:50
Cooldown:1500
ANY Topaz except great + Uranium
You can build 2 barrier jewels that must have each other in range to work. they generate a barrier that lasts 500 milliseconds that slows all enemies that contact it to half their speed while they're in contact.

Has 100% chance to stun and 75% chance to do *16 damage

Upgrade for 300g:
Stats:
Damage: 3000
Range: 500
Cooldown: 90000 (1.5 minutes)
Info:
Has 100% chance to stun and 85% chance to do *32 damage

Upgrade further for 700g:
Stats:
Damage: 5000
Range: 500
Cooldown: 75000 (1.25 minutes)
Info:
Has 100% chance to stun and 90% chance to do *64 damage

Final upgrade for 2100g:
