Welcome everyone from the TD Community. The thread on Pokémon Linked, a Pokémon MMORPG Project in the works.
Currently only one demo has been released to public before, there is however a new demo being worked on as we speak and it is almost done. It contains more maps and no “an unexpected error” bug at the start of loading that most of you will experience whilst loading up Pokémon Linked. Also NPC’s and items are to be released in it as well amongst many other small updates.
Some of the features of Pokémon Linked include:

• Synchronized Movement
• Chat and chat commands. News included along with help (/news,/help)
• Character accounts and login names
• Stats
• Inventory or Bag
• Trading (soon to be developed more)
• Battle (Working on currently)
• Options (Working on)
• Auto Updater

Many more will be featured, but those are the main features at the moment, and features to be working on.

Now my team and I are working on this as a VOLENTEER project. That means basically that we do also have a life and stuff like school gets in the way and school comes first. Also numerous other activities like being in A grade sport sides demand a lot of my time. So please do not try and rush us, although the progress is generally fast.

We are currently experiencing problems with the server so the game has been taken down for the time being at the moment but will be released back online as soon as we are ready and working. I will announce this when it is up so no need to post when it is coming up thanks.

I haven’t really gone in depth for info for the game have I? Well I don’t want to spoil the game to much but here are a bit of the details:

You can open up the game by double clicking the Client.exe icon. (Also download the newest demo by clicking the Auto-Updater) DO NOT remove ANYTHING from the folder, otherwise it will make your game not work. Also do NOT exploit the .dll files or any other files – otherwise that is considered as hacking and any hackers will have their accounts deleted and be banned.

Do the obvious for the title screen and if you got “an unexpected error loading the game” or something like that do NOT worry, the game will not work for you PC at its current stage, just wait for the next demo – it will work on your PC then.

When you are creating your character you can name it by typing in your name for it. Then will the stats and select your character. As soon as you are in the game you can see other peoples names by scrolling your mouse over the top of them and click to move and navigate. If you ever get on and I am on or another staff member feel free to ask us any questions.

Bugs and glitches

There are a number of bugs at the moment like item cloning (ironic because that’s like classic Pokémon games). For a list visit the forums, but I will try and keep this up to date.
No point in posting them all just yet though as most will be wiped out, the only thing I can say is:

AN UNEXPECTED ERROR LOADING THE GAME Don’t worry, the “old” client will not work for your computer but the new one will, so sit tight for it.
Also a long loading screen is expected, just wait it out, the new demo loads sometimes at 0.5 seconds for me as I use it so as I said, wait. (2 seconds max).

sounds great!
these forums are mainly for tower defence games, not rpgs (although ive made 2 engines , 1 bad, 1 good and almost complete) but that shouldent matter.

i really like the idea of the auto-update feature.
if i get interested enough i might fit that in to atleast some part of my tower defence.

i visited your website but you have just filled in both download links with blahlbahblah.com and some other random ****.
ill download when you fix it.

ive bolded the areas that have changed.
basically change the "Tower Defence" section to "Games", change the general forum to "Tower Defence", remove the Screenshots forums and put all its posts in the "Tower Defence" forum (as long as there td screenies of course), Add a new forum called "Other Games", add a sub forum to Other Games called "Games Made by Members" (thats where this post would belong), and then add another forum called "Game Development".

that would be a much better layout, and i would love a game development forum.
DISCLAIMER: This is only my suggestion! im not saying it has to be exactly like that or to happen at all, i would just be happy if it did and slightly unhappy if we don't get a game development forum

It is in the correct place according to the discription of the forum but it isn't a td game. I'm going to talk to Ezo and see if we change it to 2 forums: Td games and Other games.

Yes, I think that you should do that. Still there shouldn't be a problem with it being here - it is a game made by a member technically speaking.

About the download, I do not have a download YET. I put random junk there, I am going to fix that RIGHT NOW.
