... Towers?
Eh, I guess it's a given. Well, I actually prefer TD games that have towers that can do other stuff, such as give money or increase range. |

What do you look for in a td?
Heres what i have learned from my 2 first games: rSTD 1 - simple graphics, simple interface, very balanced, challenging rsTD 2 - amazing graphics, nice interface, horribly unbalanced, too easy What have i learned? well rsTD 1 was a much bigger success, even thought it had '****ty' graphics (grey bg, circles for monsters :/) Why was it such a success? becouse it was so SIMPLE and BALANCED rsTD1 A. had a nice balance, required players to build towers in the most ideal places to be most efficient in their decisions. and B. had graphics sufficient to show that upgraded towers looked "BETTER" therefore they are BETTER. Those visual ques are all it took to make players understand the concept. Alot of players didn't need a "tutorial" to play rsTD1, it was straight forward, build towers and upgrade! So the lesson here is: BE SIMPLE, and HAVE BALANCE. you need to pre-calculate your numbers so that is doesnt end up like rsTD-2 on the star level, which you can play forever :/ The key with rsTD1 was that tower damages advanced linearly (x^1), while creep strength advanced exponentially, which forced you to be efficient in using your money and placement, and although there is no 'maxiumum' level, there is a point where it becomes impossible to have enough damage to kill the creeps. -rs |

I love that game. It's a shame there is no sequel. I haven't even seen another TD like it. |

Well, Tyren. That's a very nice game. I like it, too.
