Default Hex TD addons suggestions

There has been discussion in the Shoutbox about what kinds of addons for Hex TD members like to see in the shop, but knowing how everything in the Shoutbox gets reset from time to time, I think it would be better for suggestions concerning possible addons for Hex TD to be made here. So in creating this thread, this will be the place for future discussions about Hex TD addons.

As I suggested in the shoutbox, there should be "non highscore" items and "fancy perks" items.

By "non highscore" I mean sandbox mode, new upgrades, interest increase, things that add a huge advantage. The other is pretty much graphics stuff, extra status bars, Easter eggs.

What do you think?
Any ideas?

I think that's a great idea. In the shrine we talked about what the items in the shop should be and I think this would be a great place to start since so much is already happening to Hex TD (splash screen, etc.)

One idea I particularly like to see in the shop are tower/creep packs; one possible pack might include:
- A purple tower that inflicts poison on creeps, damaging them overtime. Poison wears off after a certain amount of time passes
Purple Tower 1 - fires small darts imbued with poison that damages creeps overtime, attacks one creep at a time, low attack damage, very fast fire rate
Purple Tower 2 - fires spheres of poison that damages and poisons creeps within a splash radius, moderate attack damage, fast fire rate
Purple Tower 3 - fires a large ball of toxic chemicals that heavily damage creeps within a large splash radius overtime, poison damage increases every second, high attack damage, slow fire rate
- An orange tower that inflicts burns on creeps, damaging them overtime, but burned creeps move faster than usual
Orange Tower 1 - shoots a constant stream of fire that inflicts damage overtime, attacks one creep at a time but other creeps in the same spot as the attacked creep also receive damage, very low attack damage, low burn damage, very fast fire rate
Orange Tower 2 - shoots fireballs that damage and burn creeps within a small splash radius, moderate attack and burn damage, fast fire rate
Orange Tower 3 - generates a large firestorm by engulfing the area around the tower with bluish white flames that inflict severe burns but needs time charge up its attacks, high attack and burn damage, slow charge time
- Pretty Purple - strong against orange attacks and receives only 25% of the usual burn damage, weak against purple attacks and receives three times the usual poison damage.
Hot Orange - strong against purple attacks and receives 25% of the usual poison damage, weak against orange attacks and receives three times the usual burn damage.

Hmm, I like that purple/orange idea.
Who gets to play with those creeps in multiplayer? The person who got the pack, or his opponent(s)?
Do those creeps/towers also come with their own map-pack?

I think that it shouldn't be a "pack". I think that you can buy individual towers, creeps, etc. and if you have one, you can use it whenever, even in multi-player and someone else doesn't have it.

Well I think that if one user has the pack and the other don't they shouldn't be able to play with the pack at all(both users must have it).

I think it should come as a pack as there will be more fun and also easier to implent.

Perhaps if a player is trying an addon but doesn't like it, what would be the best way for the player to remove the addon without it affecting the rest of the game? I suggest it should be linked to each individual user so that if a player decides to remove one if his/her addons, all other players who have the same addon as the one that particular play is removing can still keep/use their own copy.

Good idea with the purple and orange towers, even if it's been over-done for quite some time.
Just a reminder: all of the towers in hex thus far attacks via laser... so the purple tower could attack like blue 1 and the orange tower could attack like green 1[red 2] but makes the creep glow orange.

Anyways...
If I had to guess, I think there will be an enable/disable button either in-game or at the shop.
However... multiplayer might be chaotic with the shop feature... alternatively, MP could be programmed to remove the features once online.

"Bonus point" tower addon pack suggestion
- Refire Rate Upgrade - increases the refire rate by 25%
- Effect Upgrade - increases the effects of nearby towers by 25%
- Gold Extractor - doubles the funds obtained from creeps killed by towers within range
- Life Extractor - each adjacent tower has a 10% chance to increase the number of remaining lives by 0.1

More towers
Cyan towers prevent creeps from advancing towards your base or the end of the path
- Cyan Tower 1 - launches a laser onto a section of path, forming a barrier preventing creeps from advancing for a limited time
- Cyan Tower 2 - launches four lasers on different sections of path, forming barriers that last slightly longer than Cyan Tower 1
- Cyan Tower 3 - launches ten lasers on different sections of path, forming barriers that last longer than Cyan Tower 2. Can "chain link" with other Cyan Towers to make laser barriers last longer.
