Well Personally mines the fully upgraded triple cannon.......like 8 of em packed together took me to lvl 74, but no further, hahaha

I like the Ice cannons, they give your other cannons more time to fire, and make your other cannons miss less...

What is the most damaging tower in the game?

dunno but i bet it is the heavy bullet. I dunno if thats right, but when u choose to upgrade it is always on the very left.

Try a slight mix... right near the front, ice cannons and poison spray... the ice cannons slow the ants right off and then they get poisoned too. lasers in the middle, to pick off ants that are both frozen and poisoned. And then a few poison around the cake.

Speedy is right, a combination is best, but if I had to chose one it would be the Missile Launcher thing.

Do you prefer a slow tower with a big damage or a fast tower with a low damage?

I like the Electric tower. As for the question, fast, because they don't miss as much, but the missle launcher is a good choice.
